Biography
Kaysie Getty is a Senior Program Analyst at the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP), where she works on the Youth Thrive Initiative, a national effort focused on promoting the healthy development and well-being of young people. In this role, she leads Youth Thrive 4 Youth initiative bringing her decade of expertise in youth engagement, adolescent development, and leadership development to drive systemic change in policies and practices impacting youth.
Prior to joining CSSP, Ms. Getty served as the Youth Programming Advisor at the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, where she established a statewide Youth Council to elevate the voices of young people in shaping policy, practice, and operations. She also serves as a national consultant and Support Coach for the National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD) through JBS International, supporting states in improving services for transition-age youth.
Ms. Getty co-hosted the Diaries of a Black Girl in Foster Care podcast, highlighting the experiences of Black girls in the child welfare system. She has been recognized nationally for her leadership, receiving the 2020 CWLA 100 Champions for Children Award and the 2022 Re-Envision Foster Care in America Award. A Rutgers University MSW graduate, she was recently elected Vice President of the South Jersey Young Democrats Black Caucus.
