Biography
Liz Squibb has dedicated her career to improving the lives of young people, particularly those in the foster care system. Based in Saint Louis, she’s become a respected voice in youth advocacy and organizational leadership over her two decades in the field.
As a Senior Associate at the Center for the Study of Social Policy, Liz leads a national initiative creating anti-racist policies and supports for transition-age youth across Los Angeles, New York City, and Atlanta. She also supports organizations in building their capacity to recognize and address racism at all levels – from internal biases to systemic barriers. Additionally, she supports the parent advisory board for the Automatic Benefit Coalition and sits on the Board of Directors for California Youth Connection.
Previously, Liz founded Squibb Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm focused on strengthening programs for disenfranchised youth, families, and their communities. She also served as interim Executive Director for National Foster Youth in Action, where she guided the organization through a successful merger. Before that, she spent thirteen years at the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative, directing engagement efforts that brought together youth, families, and community partners.
What sets Liz apart is her deep understanding that meaningful change requires work at all levels – internal, interpersonal, organizational, and systemic. Her approach combines strategic leadership with genuine community engagement, always ensuring that those most affected by policies have a voice in shaping them.
