Dr. Leon Caldwell


Dr. Leon D. Caldwell is an award winning scholar-activist with close to three decades of designing and developing innovative solutions to challenges facing Black and other historically marginalized communities. His work in Higher Education, public health, community-based research, youth development, mental health, and social entrepreneurship are recognized as the leading edge in dismantling structural barriers to advance an equitable and just society. Leon earned a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Penn State, a Masters in education, and Bachelors in Economics from Lehigh University. He was tenured as an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln before pivoting to Philanthropy, health care policy, and holistic equitable real estate development.
