Results and Desired Outcomes
Our goal is to advance health and well-being policies that effectively meet families’ needs—respecting their autonomy and choice and recognizing our collective responsibility to support all young people and families, so we can all thrive.
How We Do It
We learn from and partner closely with young people, parents and caregivers—because policies work better when they are designed together with the people they intend to serve.
We take an anti-racist approach to policy analysis and development: one that recognizes and seeks to redress how deeply entrenched systemic inequities and generations of discrimination and racism have resulted in policies and practices that segregate, marginalize, and exclude people from opportunities to be healthy.
We work to identify and develop innovative policy solutions that promote the health and wellbeing of young children and families, including economic supports for birthing people and young families, access to gender-affirming care for children and young people, and also, holistic and responsive mental health supports. Through our collaborative approach, we co-develop and advance these solutions at the local, state, and national level.
