We are delighted to welcome two exceptional leaders to CSSP as new Senior Fellows. Both will contribute to our work on behalf of young children and their families and to advancing our mission to create a racially, economically, and socially just society in which all children and families can thrive.
Please join us as we welcome:
Beatriz “BB” Otero
Beatriz “BB” Otero has been a long-time ally and partner with CSSP. She is a recognized leader in the early childhood field and brings to CSSP the experience and wisdom gained from her service as founder and CEO/President of CentroNía in Washington, DC, as as Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services for the District of Columbia, and as an advisor on and champion of early care and education issues nationally. BB will enrich CSSP’s work in multiple ways and in particular will help us with outreach to and engagement with additional communities committed to improving outcomes for young children through comprehensive, community-based early childhood systems.
David Willis, MD
David Willis, MD, is also a long-standing partner. We have long admired his work and accomplishments as Director of Home Visiting and Early Childhood Systems at MCHB (2012-2018) and, more recently, with the Perigee Fund in Seattle. We are excited that he joins us to help advance the growing intersection of child health with other community supports for young children and their families. With many other partners, David will launch work focused on Early Relational Health, helping to further define this growing body of knowledge and its use and application in pediatric care and broader early childhood systems.
Both BB and David will be working with CSSP staff and the many other organizations with whom we do this work. We are delighted to have them on our team!
Frank Farrow is the President of CSSP.
