This presentation provided effective strategies on how to engage the business community through local chambers of commerce to increase investments in early care and education. Participants heard how Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and Association of Washington Business worked together in Washington State to create such investments and the benefits it has provided to families, business, and the broader community. Presenters included Julia Barfield, Senior Manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation; Michele Beehler, Director of Human Resources at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories; and Amy Anderson, Government Affairs Director at the Association of Washington Business.
